We are 21!!!!!

It’s Valentine’s Day and our Birthday  

Today 21 years ago, when we were 21 and had just left Uni together when we formed The Paper Birds. We were friends with maxed out overdrafts and an enormous passion to make devised theatre together. We were curious, determined and fearless. Other friends might want to backpack around the world, but we wanted to drive a battered old van up and down the UK, performing our shows in village halls and half empty studios. Everything was an adventure because we were together.

21 years later the adventures continue, only now we’re accompanied by a bigger team and our own children!  We have so much more we want to do with the company and have so many brilliant things happening this year to mark our special birthday, like our new Careers Package Navigate, the Feel Me tour and of course we’ll be coming full circle when we return to University to deliver our own MA and look to inspire others to develop their own socially engaged artistic practise.

We’ll be sharing memories and highlights throughout the year as well as letting you know how you can get involved in our celebrations.
